How does someone like somebody one a subconscious level?

ok so im constantly having dreams about a guy tht i dont really like and the dreams r pretty "freaky" and i posted a question about it and the person was like "u probably like him at a subconcious level" and i was like huh so i dont really ko what it means so i need help with tht part as many answers as possible THANX
