About how much should an initial consultation with a family lawyer cost?

If you ask to talk to family law attorney or ask to talk with specific one then they usually get a background of your case and make sure there isn't a conflict of interest. I have called several attorneys in the past about the same issue to see which one I liked the best. Only one of these charged me a fee.
