How can I get my Adobe flashplayer to speed up on u-tube?

My computer has started to really slow-up when using U-tube - it is so slow and jerky that I cannot use it. Done reinstalls and that appears to be okay. It is the same whatever time of day I try to use it. What else can I do? Grateful for an answer.
