What responsibility does a landlord have to clean up after working with dangerous chemicals?

You may not realize this but the United States does not regulate everything- or even most things. There may be a local regulation. It sounds like something that would have to be taken to court if it is worth that much trouble. You might need to hire an attorney because the law would probably not be extremely clear on this.
