IPod Touch Help? I really need some help please!?

I have an ipod touch 2g 8gb. i got some water on it for only A FEW SECONDS, and it turned off completely for awhile. I dried it off as best as i could, and it turned back on. Everything is good, except I can't use the slider! and it has a pcode so i can't sync it with my computer. What should I do? The warranty is up already, too. Any ideas? I've heard that rubbing alcohol submerged thing, the nail polish remover thing, and the rice trick. Anyone tried those and worked? Thanks so much!
