How do you put up drywall with rivets?

I work at the home depot and a man came looking for rivets. My fellow ociate gave him a box and the man said he was looking for more. We asked what he wanted them for. He said he was putting up drywall. Does someone know something that I dont. Or did this guy have a huge mental issue?
